The Career Protection Service’. Whilst most people have a general expectation that they will be fired if they are found engaging in deliberate, criminal conduct at work such as punching a colleague or stealing money from the company, there are surprises when they find themselves in disciplinary trouble for offending against rules and standards which are less obviously “wrong”, but which nevertheless form an important part of the company’s covenant with its stakeholders and the societies within which it operates. In a world of rapid disclosure and often instant judgment, it’s more important than ever for staff to understand what the company Code of Conduct requires of them – and why it’s important.
(Face-to-Face – Venue or Virtual)
After exploring the connections between “Integrity” and “Ethics,” working in smaller groups, participants discuss and attempt to solve 10 mini-case studies, with reference to specific sections of the Company’s Code of Conduct and any other relevant policies (e.g., the “Speaking-Up” policy). In plenary, they then discuss their answers with our expert facilitator and resolve any issues. Issues covered include: Personal conflicts of interest ● Gifts and hospitality ● Personal investments and insider dealing ● Respect in the workplace ● External activities and social media ● “Speaking-up” ● Fraud and corruption ● Anti-trust and collusion ● Data privacy ● Supply chain integrity and modern slavery.
